I will put this on the agenda site, and we update/correct in case comments come in... Summary ----------------------- 0. Slides are at the agenda site: http://ilcagenda.linearcollider.org/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=2766 1. News. -Ron chaired this meeting again since Jan has test-beam and interview duties at CERN and Nikhef. -See the agenda site for the news. -It was decided to continue with formula of having an LCTPC one-half day in advance of a regional workshop. The next lctpc collaboration meeting will at LCWS2008 in U.Illinois at Chicago on Saturday 15 November. -The lctpc meeting at Warsaw will be attended by only a few people. Akira explained that travel money in Japan is tight and is being saved for the LP work/running, so no TPC-Asian is coming to Warsaw. The few people will meet on Sunday 8 June at 14:00 in the Faculty of Physics, 69 Hoza Str. A phonemeeting will be arranged for Thursday 12 June at 14:00...details to be announced later. 2. LP cosmic trigger. -Paul had no slides this time, but reported that preparations are proceeding with the goal of being ready by 20 June. It will depend on the overall LP progress to decide whether the trigger equipment will be transported to Desy at on 20 June or later. 3. LP endcap, fieldcage and panels Endcap: ------- -Dan reported that production is proceeding well, see http://www.lepp.cornell.edu/~dpp/linear_collider/LargePrototype.html where several details are given. For example, the endplates should be ready by the end of next week. -Sinde Dan is not going to Warsaw, he requested that whoever reports on the LP endplates (probably Klaus Dehmelt) should also include a "thanks-to-the-NSF-for-financial-support". Fieldcage: ---------- -Peter showed three photos of the fieldcage (see the agenda site), and more will follow in his talk at Warsaw. Panels: ------- -Paul reported that panels will be sent to Neuchatel, Carleton and CERN where attempts to apply the resistive coating on the anode will be made. Paul is keeping one micromegas panel without resistive coating to have one ready for LP commissioning in case these attempts take somewhat longer. The After-electronics and a panel will be ready for shipping to Desy whenever the progress of our LP work calls for it. -Alkira reported that everything is ready for the Asian GEM panels, except the PC board being made at Tshinghua; he will find out the status of that within the next few days. Tests of a 40micron-thick gem gate look promising (90micron holes, transmission 60% at 0T and 1T), so this will be used for the first Asian panels. Calibration: ------------ -Dean reported that Victoria and Desy have agreed on how to make the Al patterns, namely by milling a layer our or the cathode surface. Paul/Saclay has sent the gerber files for the position of the patters to Victoria. 4. LP1 electronics. -Leif reported that the funding for 10000 Pasa/Astro channels has been found; organization proceeding via Lucie/CERN. 5. AOB. -Next phonemeeting in two weeks: 18 June 2008
